What is a Prayer Shawl?
Can you touch a prayer?
Can you pull it close and feel its comfort?
A prayer shawl starts by praying for the recipient.
It is intended to be a gift of comfort from one heart to another.
It can be round, triangular, or rectangular.
It can be knitted, crocheted, or made on a loom.
Shawls come in many sizes and colors.
Shawls are made by hand as a reminder of God's comfort and unconditional love.
Knitted Knockers (Mastectomy prostheses)
What are knitted knockers?
Many women feel incomplete and no longer pretty after treatment for breast cancer.
Whether worn temporarily, awaiting reconstructive surgery, or as an alternative to more surgery,
knitted knockers can provide the the right shape to make a woman feel good about herself again.
Knitted from soft yarns, these prostheses come in various sizes to give the look a woman wants
and can be worn comfortably for hours.
Our group is part of the national organization (yes, really! knittedknockers.org)  and provides prostheses to cancer survivors at no cost.
